Hello Alex,

Has the dislocated patella left you with any problems?

Do you have a swollen knee?

Your recovery will be based on the severity of your symptoms now, if that makes sense?

Thanks for letting us know Alex.

In reality, a patella dislocation, assuming no significant quadriceps tendon or patellar ligament injury, is not a serious injury to recover from, and you should be good as new within the next 3 to 4 weeks. If you have a quadriceps tendon injury, or a patellar ligament injury, then that's will take some time to recover from.

Rehabilitation will be really important, so when you are at that stage, please ask further questions as I know there are people on the site that can help.

Good luck
