You should certainly eat eggs whilst you are dieting. Eggs contain quality protein, and perhaps more important is the cholesterol in the yolk. Cholesterol is important for testosterone production, so by dropping foods like eggs, you risk affecting your testosterone levels. This will have consequences, so eat eggs.

They're a bit expensive but omega-3 eggs are best. They not only have high levels of essential fats (which are not present in significant amounts in normal eggs) but they also have lower levels of "bad" fats. Eggs are also very high in numerous other nutrients and most of the benefits beyond their high protein content are contained in the yolk.
