Hi Nell
Nice to have you on Fitness Inventor!
I remember when I first read the 1985 NEJM article that uncovered the subsistence diet of our forefathers and some existing remote societies. It correlated well with all the research that was starting to come out on higher-protein, low-GI diets a few years later and is now an evidence-based approach to diet for health and physical improvement...then the research on berries and their many health benefits has started coming out more recently...this makes it abundantly obvious that the Paleo Diet definitely has a lot to offer!
Glad to have a dedicated expert on board!
My question is (perhaps a bit obvious)...what is your favourite Paleo meal?

It's REALLY hard to pick ONE favourite Paleo meal. SO, here are two. One is for a regular, anytime meal, including breakfast, and the next is for post-long-endurance training.
The first: Raw, wild salmon, raw kale salad (recipe from my book, The Paleo Diet Cookbook), avocado slices and blueberries one top.
The next-(post ironman training workout): Baked yams with a pinch of salt, roast free-range chicken, steamed broccoli, olive oil and a drizzle of lemon.
Really- one of the beauties of PALEO is you can literally mix anything and come up with all sorts of combinations. Just stick with this formula:
-Start with any veggies as your base of a meal
-Add some protein
-Follow up with some good fat
-Add a little bit of fruit (or not)
This will give you the paleo macro nutrient ratio that our hunter-gathers ate, which is roughly 40/30/30 (carb/pro/fat).
HAVE FUN!

I agree, fabulous to have a top nutrition author like Nell on the site! The Paleo Diet is a low GI diet and a high-protein diet, so it fits perfectly with our ethos!
