How can I get myself in better shape for the summer as a teenager?

I am not overweight, but I would like to lose a bit for my Summer Holidays. I am quite tall for my age nearly 6ft, and I just want easy workouts and eating techniques to help me get in shape. I am 15 years old. I would really like some definition on my core and stronger upper body without going to the gym. Thanks, any suggestions would be perfect.

Hello Leo,

What is your diet like? Do you consume enough protein?

You can certainly lose body fat to define your abdominal muscles more, and I guess if you are giving yourself say 6 weeks, and on the basis you want an easier type of program, I would do the following:

Monday - Upper body, abs and 25 minutes cardio

Tuesday - Rest

Wednesday - HIIT for 15 minutes and abs

Thursday - Rest

Friday - Lower body, abs and 25 minutes cardio

Saturday - Rest

Sunday - 30 minutes steady cardio

You can certainly do these sorts of workouts from home, but I would recommend you purchase some weight training equipment. At the very least, look at the following products. This is an example of adjustable dumbells. You can pick them up cheap on ebay, but this is s link to a page on Amazon with a few different types:

You may already have dumbells?

If you're serious, you have to understand that diet delivers 70 to 80% of weight / fat loss - studies clearly bear this out!

The best strategy is to gradually omit the starchy and sugary carbs from your diet whilst increasing levels of lean protein.

For best results, get a free copy of my diet (which has got me and numerous pro bodybuilders and athletes down to rock bottom bodyfat levels) by signing up at www.MuscleDiet.net
