What should be my weight loss goals per week?

I am currently weighing in at about 14.10 stone. I would like to lose around 20 pounds by the start of August. What should be my weight loss goals per week?

2 pounds per week(sorry not sue what that is in stones...lol) is healthy weight loss.
You can lose more weight quicky, but its will mostly be water weight , and you risk re -bounding after.
start by eliminating 1 thing from your diet each week and increase your cardio.

I agree with Dean.

BTW Dean, over here in England, most people use "stones" to express their weight and a stone is equal to 14 pounds (a little over 6 kilos) - so 14.10 is 14 stone and ten pounds...about 205 lbs.

At the beginning of a diet (the first week or two), you'll likely lose more but after that, 2 pounds (about 1 kilo) is good weight loss and probably not at the expense of losing lean muscle and lowering your metabolic rate substantially.

Of course this "rule of thumb" has to be adjusted depending upon your body fat levels (the more you have to lose, the more you can safely lose per week).

As such, your goal is probably a bit optimistic, as you would have to lose almost 5 lbs per week to hit your August goal! So if you are tall, then you're probably only slightly over weight and will have to work quite hard to burn off that many calories through diet and exercise, if you're short, then you can justify a more aggressive approach.

You'll have to do a lot of cardio (6 days per week and a few of those should be HIIT) and keep the intense lifting sessions at least 3 days per week and really cut your carbs to achieve that kind of weight loss in just over 4 weeks. Keep your protein high to elevate metabolism, decrease hunger and avoid muscle loss!

It could be done but you'll pay the price in your mood, your cravings, your energy levels and you'll probably lose some muscle (unless you've been cruising lately and you "up your game" in the gym)!
