SD Matrix and the long term effects of Pro-hormones?

Hi there,

A friend has recently started using a supplement called "SD Matrix" from Generation Nutrition and has gained around 10lbs in a month. I know this is a pro-hormone and you guys don't support that kind of thing but I'd rather ask you than some bloke at the gym with his "bro-science".

If I use this product:

i) Is it going to damage my liver permanently?

ii) Is my natural testosterone production going to return to the same level as before after I use PCT and discontinue use? I only want to do one cycle. Providng this isn't going to cripple my testicles for the rest of time.

Thanks, Pete

Hi Pete

SD Matrix is an illegal prohormone that is also a steroid. Technically, the retailer who sold it to you could go to jail for selling steroids...and in my opinion they should because lots of unsuspecting people think this stuff is somehow legal and safe - at least steroid dealers aren't trying to pretend that their stuff is as safe as vitamin C!

People who sell this stuff give our industry a bad name and they are thought of as scum by legitimate supplement retailers.

But unlike steroids that have been properly studied by pharmaceutical companies,SD Matrix was passed over as a candidate to be a licensed drug long ago by scientists. The reason for this is either because 1. it caused too many side effects or 2. it wasn't as effective as other steroid molecules.

So the fact is, no one knows if this stuff is safe and it isn't being controlled because it is an illegal product...so who knows what could actually be in it?? Also, Dr Dan has seen quite a few young guys come into his emergency room with liver issues, bad acne, oily skin, etc, etc.

So bottom line, don't use it!

Just to be clear

It is the one with: 10mg - 17-beta-hydroxy-androstan-4-one

Is that the one that is illegal? I read one of your posts commenting that It might have been reformulated. If so... What the hell is "17-beta-hydroxy-androstan-4-one"?

Rest assured I won't be buying/using this but I'm interested to know what it is - given that there are 17/18 year old kids at the gym who buy this stuff!

Thanks for your help anyway. I appreciate you taking the time.
