Should I start cutting? If so how where do I start?

After a year out due to long term sickness I've been back in the gym 6 days a week for four months now. I've lost over 3 1/2 stone through a split routine of weight training and functional training. I'm a clean eater as I'm celiac but I just wondered.... When should I start cutting... and where do I start?

Hi Libby,

If you are still losing fat, then there is no need to adjust your diet unless you feel it is inadequate in some way. However, if you have hit a plateau and stopped losing fat, then a diet adjustment is in order - eventually (unless you have a very fortunate metabolism, exercise will stop delivering the fat-loss goods).

The best place to start is with the basics. I've put together a very short overview of how to adjust your diet in a healthy and strategic way to achieve the best results, see: http://fitnessinventor.com/articles/1789-musclediet-six-pack-plan
