Hi Louis

We devoted a chapter of our book to a review of all of the best studies on overtraining as it relates to HIIT and heavy training. The conclusion of this review is that it is actually quite rare.

You probably won't get overtraining syndrome from the program you have posted. However, you could get injured from doing so many HIIT sessions. You could also get flat and mentally fatigued and stop progressing.

One question I would ask is, are you actually going ALL OUT on all of your HIIT sessions? If so, that's quite impressive because it would be difficult to do so many sessions and still maintain 95%+ intensity but if not, you'd be better dropping your Wednesday HIIT and some of your evening HIIT sessions and hitting your morning sessions a little harder...remember HIIT is about every fast interval being virtually flat out - quality not quantity!!

You are probably doing more sessions than you need to do and the quality (and therefore results) would improve with fewer sessions.
