Casein ON - my little brother (also into fitness and muscle hypertrophy ;)) is recovering from chicken pox and will be confined to his bed and sleeping alot over the coming few weeks as it was especially hard-hitting. Getting a casein will help him to retain some muscle as he will be sleeping alot and won't be able to get to the gym.

Casein won't help him retain any muscle... it will simply stop him from wanting to eat. So not a good reason!

Mmm... any other supplements you would therefore recommend for keeping muscle during a week or two of bed-rest - or just good old fashioned solids? (if this is going off-topic - ignore, and I'll repost a qu!).

Reflex nexgen+ multivitamins please, heard good things about the brand and seen that you use them in your stack.

Firstly, (get the arse-licky bit out the way first) what a gesture. You truly are making a BIG name for yourself in this industry Dr Dan, and it's an utter privilege to be associated in some small way with you by having you and the FI page regularly pop up on my newsfeed with gems of wisdom, controversial viewpoints, the works! Keeps me motivated and interested and constantly learning, which is awesome.

*removes tongue from arse crack*

My one product would have to be... hmmm... A sack of Reflex One Stop Extreme. Just because it's a product I've always wanted to try, as my current training/eating goals are to pack on a bit of lean mass (recently broke the 70kg mark, I was so happy!) and it seems like an excellent product for just that purpose. I have ALWAYS been a big fan of Reflex products (I actually found myself recommending them to someone in Holland & Barrett yesterday, just because the silly saleswoman had spouted out some generic information and pointed them towards the sugar-loaded Maximuscle products when there were some far superior Reflex products a few shelves below!) and have never had a product from them that I've not been absolutely satisfied with, so have a good feeling about OSE.

Plus, you totally owe me a late Christmas present. And it's my 21st later this year, and I'm currently ploughing through a design project to make bioplastics. So this would really break the monotony and put a smile on my face, and that would give you a lovely warm fuzzy feeling inside like when a kitten starts purring.

Hope you're not allergic to cats.

Yours sincerely,
Lawrence

In lieu of the above :

I would like ON Amino Energy - because since buying the M&F HIIT Guide - I realised that EAA is key during pre-workout (opposed to just BCAA's which I had been following for ers before). I will therefore be taking 5g of EAA;s (through Amino Energy) with creatine and whey immediately before working out in future! Will share with lil bro too ;)

P.s. liked and shared

Beat me to it Dan ;)

I would be very grateful for some Gaspari Superpump Max because it is the best pre-workout I have used as it actually works for me and gives me awesome focus in the gym. I've got loads of new PBs since using it (e.g.180kg leg press for 3, 50 leg extensions 7 reps for 3 sets) and find myself constantly trying to do one more rep or another set. I'm training for my first competition (aiming for UKBFF Bodyfitness) and food/supplements can get very expensive. Also, I'm almost at the end of my tub, 3 weeks away from payday and had to move house last week due to mould infestation so now I have no bed or wardrobe and a fight with the landlord for my bond back! For all of the above reasons, a free tub of that would be awesome!

Thank you!

Jess :)

Well I haven't got a specific product that I want but about a month ago I sent you guys a message about supplement I was wanting to use and what you thought of them. The supplements were Cellmass and NoXplode pre and post workout shakes and you said that there are a lot better ones out there. so if you were to buy me a supplement I would want the best pre or post workout supplement that you reccomend.
By Aaron Painee Payne – 4 months ago
Hey Dr Dan, It would be fantastic, if you would purchase with your immense wealth and generous spirit of heart, some Muscletechs Celltech, for me, any flavour. I am on a muscle building phase but unfortunately, I was forced to spend all my money helping out needy London lap dancers. It was a spontaneous act of human kindness, but one that I am now paying for with the lack of said training product.

Creatine works really well for me as I am a hard gainer The product never fails to add strength and really aids my recovery... Thanks !!

Anyway, Keep up the good work, good luck with the book, (And buy me the Celltech, obviously ) London, UK ;) Zac London UK

Any form of meatbolism booster or fat stripper, i recently had an acl reconstruction (sexond one in 5 years) and im slowly getting back into cardio! Being in the military, cardio is a major aspect of my fitness but since being unable to do the cv i used to i seembto have put on quite a bit of weight, in places i dont want to! Even with a good stable diet and as much training as i possibly could do i havent been able to keep my weight down and feel as though i need that extra bit of help just until i get back up and running!

A random act of kindness is a great gesture doc, so if I am chosen I will also act in kindness and give the product to a friend who is desperate for some ON hydro builder. He lives and breathes fitness and is always singing your praises. I'm sure that's not the best answer u will get but it's the truth ;)

Would love some reflex peptide fusion. As a T1 diabetic it's the only whey based supplement I've found that doesn't drastically affect my blood glucose levels... Plus as a student I can no longer afford reflex's products - damn 20% tax! Not tried their instant whey duo also, would love to see what all the buzz is about! Cheers buddy.

I am doing a 20 mile obstacle course called rate race and I would like a supplement that would help with my performance on the day, either recovery or pre race supplement. Thanks would be a big help. :)

Grenade .50 Cal would be my choice of product.

I was lucky enough to receive a sample pack from yourself. I was skeptical at first as I am with most products I use for the first time. I'll be totally honest - it was not what I was expecting. What started as a 20min Cardio warm-up ended being a 1 hr 800 calorie endurance session. Totally hitting the zone. I did manage to push out a good weight session too.

I used the whole pack and was really impressed with it's performance but I would like to try more before making the decision to switch from my current pre-workout formula as I have suffered from stomach cramps and too much of that tingling sensation with other products. Grenade seemed to have that perfect blend that I would like to investigate a little more.

When I liked your Facebook page I feared you would be just another gym prima donna. There are plenty of them around that's for certain, but you differ from the others. Honest, down to earth and packed with medical and scientifically backed advice. You're approachable and always willing to dedicate time and energy into advising others.

You are fast becoming a mentor of mine so I'm here to support you as you are out there supporting us.

Thanks for everything Dan.

Hi I would like you too buy me a Tub of 50 cal and a tub of Reflex whey protein thank you Dan.
At this moment in time I'm in training and dieting for Bodypower POTW Comp, have never competed or dieted in this way.
The supplements, 50 cal would continue to power up my training session, early morning HIIT, Tabat and Steady state cardio throughout the week, aswell as my evening session ie at this moment in time I'm hitting GVT ;) Using the whey as I awake and post training to stay on top of my muscle feeding process and recovery.
Cheers again

Im right at the end of my tub of ON whey protein and I cant afford to buy another one as I have been unable to get a job since leaving the army last year and I dont claim benefits so I have 0 income.
I was hoping to enter my first bnbf competition this year but struggling with lack of funds for gym and food / supplements.
Thanks

Some gernade 50 cal as i work full time and spend evening studying for accountancy exams so when it comes time to hit the gym im knackered and lacking energy, i was fortunate enough to recieve one of the free samples you gave away recently and was very impressed but as i live in Northern Ireland ther are few if any places near me that stock it and i have begged and pleaded with supplement shop owners to get it in! Iv been carrying out alot of Joe Donnelys work outs and as you as much as anybody knows they are a killer! also iv purchased your H.I.I.T book and cant wait to get cracking on it, but i need some 50 cal to give me that kick up the ass when energy is low from work/studying. Thanks

Hi Dr Dan. My choice would be MACA powder. I'm quite interested in the supplementation of adaptagens and this has many good and interesting properties. Ranging from, optimising testosterone levels, increased brain function, protection against stress, better sleep, increase stamina and recovery, as well as positive effects on metabolism. Seems to have a lot of great properties and is also relatively cheap.
Thanks, Carl.

As a regular follower of yours, you made a very good point of not following the the BS marketing for BCAA's and using EAA 's instead. I also read about them in your HIIT book that arrived a couple days ago. I'm always looking for good quality supplements to enhance my training and achieve my goals.
I would like your random act of kindness to be some EAA's for me to try.

Opti-Men Multivitamin: It is like the nuts and bolts that keeps my body together and functioning through all the stresses it encounters!

ON Flaxseed Oil: This supports my overall health and cognitive function, I am a college student so I need all the brain power I can get after the grueling daily workouts, plus the omega fats help support fat burning!

ON Gold Standard Whey: Excellent for my pre and post workout training, full of BCAAs which ensures optimized utilization of this protein in my body!

BSN AminoX: Reading the HIIT book by M&F has certainly taught me the importance of these amino acids to help with protein synthesis, decrease muscle fatigue, improve recovery, as well as many other benefits. I try to take at least 6g preworkout and post for optimum muscle response.

Optimum Essential AmiN.O. Energy: Have to get that nitric oxide boost before a workout! With energy from green tea extract (much more efficient digestion and use by the body than other caffeine sources). I would take 2 scoops of this supplement with probably ~half a serving of BSN AminoX (take the rest post) to maximize amino acid enhancement throughout my workout! Now about the N.O. in this product, it is pack with 5g of arginine, citrulline, and beta-alanine to create and sustain N.O. levels. This, matched with the green tea extract (standardized for ECGC), makes a perfect supplement for pre workout ignition!

BSN Syntha-6: I usually create my meal for breakfast when I lift (whey with an egg omelet or greek yogurt) plus some fruit or dextrose for added sugar post workout. Generally I split up my lifting (morning) and abs (evening) to maximize growth on both and ensure optimal energy levels. My ab routine is nonstop and in the evening because I wish to make it as cardiovascular as possible without hindering growth from the morning workout. After working my abs I enjoy a good protein matrix with some almond milk. This protein is full of BCAAs which help me recover for my next morning lifting session. I also enjoy this protein if I have a test and I am stuck in the library studying, quick and easy meal to help me hit my macros. Plus syntha-6 has carbs and fats for a full meal, sure beats lugging around more tupperware.

With all this I am able to fuel my body, after all, why be beast when you could be a monster?!

How about Ageless Male? It’s a testosterone booster which enhances libido and improves muscle tone and body composition. I've read some very positive Ageless Male reviews and with age no longer on my side, I definitely intend to try it!
