Hi Peter,
To what extent did fat ingestion increase insulin in the study to which you refer and what was the dosage and was it just fat or co-ingestion of other macros (versus non-fat, eucaloric meal?)?
...because I have read more than one study that showed both fat ingestion and fat co-ingestion does not significantly increase insulin secretion.

In the shimitoyodome study it was fairly limited, but it was only 5% of a complete meal, and a single meal at that. I think Newsholme and Krause, 2012, will be of more use to your in researching insulin response to fat (and nutrients in general).It's a fairly comprehensive review. I believe its a free text, if not, let me know, I can mail it to you.
