How many calories should I consume when getting lean?

I am currently monitoring my calorie intake in my quest to be leaner. I am consuming 12 calories per pound of body weight with a 50:30:20 = p:c:f. Should I be aiming higher at 13/14? Or should I carry on as initial signs are very promising? Thanks in advance

Hi Stuart,

Because everyone's metabolic rate and activity level is different, the important thing is how you adjust your calorie and carb intake and not the actual amount at which you start. Some people would consistently lose weight and have a six pack within weeks if they ate the above diet and some people would barely change or possibly even gain weight.
