I've been recently experiencing elbow pain following T Bar rows, can you help?

Hi,

I've been experiencing some pains in the inner side of my elbow recently. They seem to come and go but this time specifically after doing T Bar rows (for the first time after a while), the pain is much more palpable and I had to end my workout as it gets aggravated when I lift heavy weights. Has anyone experienced this before and is there a treatment for it?

Thanks

Hi Castell,

Of course only a qualified doctor or other sports injuries specialist can diagnose your problem competently but usually this kind of thing is tendonitis (unless you have excessive swelling or discolouration in the area of the injury. Backing off of the weight for a few weeks and avoiding exercises that aggravate it along with some kind of anti-inflammatory like Ibuprofen and taking glucosamine (1500mg per day), along with chondroitin (750 to 1000mg per day), vitamin C and fish oil is probably the best course of action but again, you should see an appropriate health care professional to ensure it is nothing serious and before taking any ibuprofen. The other supplements will likely be beneficial whether it is tendonitis or something more severe.
