What is the best fat burner supplement to use when cutting?

Hi,

I was wondering what is the best fat burning supplement to use when cutting? I am currrently doing 3 HIIT sessions a week. I haven't used them before and was wondering do they actually work? If so, what is the best to use? Or would it be best to use a range of other supplements to help me lose this last bit of stubborn fat?

Hi Callum,

Firstly, 70% of your results will be obtained by following a good diet (see: http://fitnessinventor.com/articles/1789-musclediet-six-pack-plan ). Virtually everyone who knows what they're talking about agrees with this point.

Secondly, glad to hear you're doing HIIT - it is the most effective exercise strategy for fat loss.

I actually do quite a bit of work for a company called Grenade (so I may be biased) but Grenade has large dosages of research-proven ingredients and it doesn't contain DMAA (also known as geranium, 1,3 dimethylamylamine, etc, which increases blood pressure substantially and has never been shown to cause weight or fat loss). So for that reason and the fact that I know the owners and I know how it is made and what's in it, that is my recommendation as the best fat burner to use.

I've always found OEP to be effective when cutting (on top of a good diet); it does contain 1,3 but I find the product, overall, helps with energy levels and appetite control. What are your thoughts on 1,3 in smaller doses?

Hi Aaron,

If you feel that 1,3 dimethylamylamine works for you, then that's fine but until there is some research showing that it is safe, causes fat loss and improves exercise performance, I can't get behind it. Remember, studies have actually been conducted on fat burners containing 1,3 and caffeine and the result was that no fat was burned. There have also been two deaths and a severe stroke associated with products containing 1,3 and it has been shown to dramatically increase blood pressure. This could make it dangerous for some people, make it dangerous during exercise and make it more difficult for your heart to deliver blood, oxygen and nutrients to the muscles during exercise...and also make it more difficult for your body to remove the waste products produced from exercise.

Hi Callum,

Have to agree with Mark, Grenade is a great fat burner! as I have personally used it too with great results.

I think most people would agree would be to insure your diet is correct, if you want to cut I'd recommend looking at carb cycling on top of the HIIT training.

So in answer - best far burner supplement - GRENADE.

What is carb cycling? Is it not best just to have very low carbs and high protein diet all the time plus hiit training? Or would I be best to do carb cycling for fat burning?

Hi Mark,

Do you know if Grenade is available in Canada, and if so where I can find it?

Thanks
