The best dietary / supplement solutions for fatty liver are:
1. Don't drink alcohol
2. Don't use paracetamol or other drugs that are difficult for the liver to metabolise
3. Eat a low-calorie diet that is low in sugar and starch (potatoes, rice, pasta, corn, bread, pastries, etc)
4. Take a quality whey protein supplement 2-3 times daily
5. Take NAC (N-Acetyl Cysteine) - 600-1200mg per day in 2 to 3 dosages. If you have severe fatty liver, you may want to take up to 2,000 to 3,000mg daily but talk to your doctor about this first.
6. Drink several cups of coffee (if you don't want too much caffeine, decaff works also).
7. L-Carnitine may help but I'm not aware of any strong research to support its use to improve liver health or treat fatty liver.
8. 2-3 cups of green tea are excellent for health but the effects on the liver are not well known.

i understand the bit about prohibition of alcohol and paracetamol being metabolised in liver...what i DOnt unerstand is...why woud you suggest several cups of coffee i thought
caffeine and caffeinated drinks werent really good for liver/fatty liver in particular)
...and i know there is no direct relation between fatty liver and l carnitine.....but since l carnitine assists in long chain fatty acids metabolism, and most of the ppl with fatty have obesity/central obesity in particular.....thought it might help ppl with fatty liver....just my two cents...but then again what do i know in a world run by md;s:)
...and so u r saying...green tea extract is food for overall health but has no evidence in fat loss, yeah?
