Will HIIT + Low Carb maximize fat loss?

Hi,
I'm 8 weeks away from going on holidays and I've started the following Carb Cycling diet: 2 Low (60g), 1 high (260g), 2 Low, 2 High
I do HIIT on my low days. Would this approach maximise fat loss? And would you recommend any type of training routine a week or 2 before going on holidays to ensure that the muscles look full rather soft.

Yes HIIT with DTP (or any intense weight training that has short rest periods and includes high and low reps and LOTS of sets) will work very well.
