I've formulated and re-formulated several popular sports and fat-loss supplements - some that have sold tens of millions of units. As such, I can tell you that when all is said and done the best way to formulate a fat-burning supplement is to read all of the research on ingredients that have been studied to burn fat and cause weight loss and decrease hunger.
Astonishingly, most companies don't do this or don't do it properly.
Oxylean 1-3d contains 3 ingredients that have been proven to burn fat (ingredients that several other fat burners use) and 3 ingredients that have never been shown in any research to burn fat.
Caffeine, green tea and citrus aurantium (bitter orange) all have solid research to show that they should be included in any quality fat burner product.
1,3 dimethylamylamine failed to cause fat loss versus subjects who took a placebo in the only study that has yet been done on it and yerba mate and Saw Palmetto have not been shown to cause fat loss.
Also, 1,3 dimethylamylamine causes high blood pressure and restricted blood flow, so may possibly be dangerous and would likely not be good for exercise performance - although for people who can handle it, it packs a major stimulant wallop (but some people get anxious, tense, jittery and even get rapid heart beat...or worse).
