Is there a protein drink that won't make me put on weight or bulk up?

Hi,

I've been training for about a year now and have lost 4.5 stone. I was thinking about adding a protein drink into my diet but I don't want to put anymore weight on or bulk up. Can you suggest what the best one in the market for me? There are so many.

Thanks

Go for powder with a high isolate composition. There at the top end of the market in terms of price but seeing as you don't want to bulk, you will only need a shake or two a day to fill the gaps. Go for reflex, kinetica or my protein. These tend to be low in carbs and sugars and are no non-sense powders. Avoid chocolate flavour if your dieting.

Hi Jim,

Adding a quality whey protein to your diet will help you retain muscle whilst dieting, decrease hunger and increase your metabolic rate (and it's healthy), so good move.

Yes, Reflex Instant Whey is substantially less expensive than a pure isolate (although it is mostly isolate) and has very low carbs and fat at a good price. It should be perfect for your needs. Others that aren't quite as low in carbs and cost a bit more are PhD Pharma Whey and Optimum Gold Standard 100% Whey.
