Mark: Would this carb cycling work?

Hi,

I will be doing a 5 day carb cycling diet. My low carb days will also be my cardio/abs days:

Day1
Med Carbs
Day 2
Low Carbs\Cardio
Day 3
Med Carb
Day 4
Low Carb\Cardio
Day 5
High Carb

My question is, can I do a Med carb day followed by low carb day, or is it better to do 2 consecutive days of each?

Thanks

Hi Castell,

Much of how you decide which days to eat high or low carbs should be determined by your exercise routine.

Unless you do a lot of volume or cardio work, etc, I would suggest two days in a row of carb depletion, followed by a medium and then a higher-carb day. If you have a fast metabolism you can then have two high- carb days, then run it again.

However, many people adjust their carb intake in a variety of ways, so continue to experiment and WRITE EVERYTHING DOWN, so you can evaluate what works and what doesn't.
