Hi Mark,
I've was diagnosed lactose intolerant. I currently take PHD Whey Protein which seems to be the only food I can eat/take that doesn’t effect me.
I find I swell in the face, fingers, feet and nipples when I eat anything other that chicken green veg and whey. I haven't eaten bread, pasta, rice for years, milk now effect me also. I seem to be getting worse recently and can no longer drink any wine, it's been years since I've been able to drink larger.
Many thanks for any help or guidance with this matter! The NHS dietitians have proven to be useless!

That is a very tough one as it seems to be an allergy issue but it is to numerous foods (some of which, like rice, aren't usually allergenic). I wish I could tell you something that the NHS dietitions couldn't but they are probably more qualified than me to advise on allergy-related issues.
Most quality, low carb whey proteins are so low in lactose that they don't cause symptoms even in lactose intolerant people. However, lactose intolerance usually causes stomach upset and bloating, not allergic reactions like the ones you describe, as they would be caused by a protein and not the lactose (milk sugar).
