Hi Ayaan,

My question for you is, why are you choosing not to engage in any cardiovascular exercise?

Cardiovascular exercise is like weight training for your heart and blood vessels; it strengthens the heart muscle, lowers blood pressure and heart rate, and helps improve your blood vessels' ability to expand and contract; all of these adaptations decrease the workload on the heart thereby decreasing your risk of heart attack and stroke as well as other chronic disease. Making cardiovascular exercise an integral part of a well-rounded exercise program, just like weight training is.

The minimum recommendation is 150 min. of brisk walking/week or 75 min. of vigorous exercise (i.e. jogging intensity) per week. So as long as you're meeting the minimum recommendations, whether you're doing 2-3 exercise sessions/week or more, you're good. While it's important to get up and move daily, I advise against engaging in vigorous exercise more than 6 days/week.
