Is it OK to drink water while eating?

I've been told many times that drinking water while eating is a bad and unhealthy habit. I was wondering it that is true, especially since I drink water with nearly all my meals.

Hey there, and correct me if im wrong.
As far as i know and have read,
'' It's very common that people drink water between their meals but research has said that a small amount of liquid during meals should be okay but drinking a lot of water, juice, or soda can cause digestion problems. Drinking water and other fluids can cause dilution of stomach acids and digestive enzymes, making them less effective at breaking down food. Whenever possible, it is best to drink fluids before and two hours after meals as this helps uptake of nutrients and move bowels. Reducing the amount of salt and spices added to foods is helpful in reducing the need to drink fluids with meals.''

(its copy -paste from an article ive read). thank you

Hi sherif

Drinking liquids with meals is perfectly fine. Excessive consumption could force the body to compensate production of stomach acid but not with a normal amount of fluid intake. Remember, fruits, vegetables and other foods are made primarily of water, so as long as you're not drinking like a litre or more with a meal, there is nothing to worry about.!
