Is this too much fat on a cut?

Hi

I am monitoring everything I eat and I am trying to cut. I am shocked to find out of 2,500 calories a day that I am eating 130g fat. They are mainly good fats from clean food. My macros are 45 protein, 40 fat and 15 carbs. I have lost a bit of weight each week. But does my diet and macros sound wrong on a cut. My fats are nuts, eggs, health oils and oily fish.

Hi Quelly,

130g of fat is 1,170 calories, which is 47% of your calories, not 40%. So you should be aiming for 110g of fat to hit the ratio above.

Your diet is fine, especially if you are currently losing fat but you shouldn't be cutting any more carbs, just cut the fats if you hit a plateau or are losing very little fat.
