What is the Paleo Diet? I've been hearing professional athletes such as fitness model Rob Riches talk about it on their blogs and facebook pages; he claims to have lost weight but have no simultaneous loss of strength or energy.

The Paleo Diet is a diet that doesn't allow any foods that weren't available to humans back in Paleolithic times - over 10,000 years ago. So nothing packaged or processed.
The theory (and it certainly makes sense) is that humans evolved over the course of over 2 million years eating certain foods and our bodies are therefor used to and require the nutrients it gets from those foods. Since genetically, our bodies are virtually identical to 10,000 years ago, this diet should suit our needs much better than all of the packaged, processed, sugary, starchy, high GI, unhealthy fat diet we have gradually adopted since 10,000 years ago.
