Hi could someone please tell me if fat burners are advisable or is it recommended to loose weight over a longer period of time with regular exercise. Do fat burners speed up the process of loosing fat and are they healthy?
I am looking to gain lean muscle mass. I can be categorized as a "Skinny Fat" person. My Fat percentage is little more than the Muscle mass. I do good amount of cardiovascular exercises on cardio days and little on weight training days. I have progressed to picking heavier weights than what i used to pick before. I am loosing weight and gaining muscle gradually. Should i stick to what i am doing and see the result after 1-2 mnths or should i do something extra.
Thank you

Fat burners aren't magic and they aren't the most important aspect of your program when dieting to get lean but they certainly help.
A high-protein, healthy fat, low sugar, low starch diet is the most important thing by far.
Second is exercise - but especially doing a lot of progressively more intense exercise.
A good fat burner does three crucial things:
1. it decreases appetite
2. increases your metabolic rate
3. increase movement of fat out of your fat cells and into the bloodstream where it is available to be burned for energy.
Outside of ephedrine and geranium (1.3 dimethylamylamine / 1.3 dimethylpentlyamine), there is virtually no evidence of dangerous ingredients in fat burners (at least no greater risk than from drinking coffee and tea that contain caffeine. Some people get anxious and jittery even on caffeine and synephrine but for those people who are training in hot environments or who aren't very fit or who have a low tolerance for stimulants they have to be very careful if taking ephedrine or geranium.
