Hi Rob. I was totally inspired by your story on breaking the world record for the plank. I am now 54 years young and also good at the plank I recently noticed the plank record now stands at 36.58 mins set by an American lady I would like to bring that record back home I am currently on 37 mins and hoping for 45 my problem is I have no idea how to set this up to make it official and was hoping for any advice you could give me? kind regards john

Wow! I had no idea a lady now held the record or that it was so amazing. The first thing you need to know is the technique. The hands must not be touching and your elbows and feet not wider than should width apart. If you have achieved your current PB with this technique you are equally amazing.
The best tips I can give you are as follows:
1) Apply to Guinness World Records
2) Get your body fat below 10% by the event day
3) Break the record for for charity - the goal being to attribute your effort to a cause that is very emotional to you
4) Make the event as public as possible - the support you will get will make all the difference
I hope this helps John and please let me know your progress. We do want the record back :-)
Rob.
