What would be the best way to train my chest and back?

On my chest and back day I do:

Chest exercise
Back exercise
Chest exercise
Back exercise
Chest exercise
Back exercise

But would it be better to do all my chest exercises first then back?

Hi Daniel,

This isn't an area of training that has been properly studied but there are some prominent trainers and others who believe that this is not only an efficient way to train but actually allows you to lift more weight for both muscle groups.

It should be pretty easy to verify your results with this kind of training...Just do a session of chest / back then the following week do a traditional chest workout and see which one allows a more intense workout. For me, I can go heavier on chest training either if I combine chest with back as you describe above or if I do back before chest.
