soda water - good or bad?

Is soda water ok to have as a drink, not a replacement of water but just in general?

Thanks

Hi Mitch,

There is a small amount of evidence that soda water and other carbonated beverages may have a negative effect on bone strength but the evidence is not very strong or compelling. So soda water is probably a perfectly fine substitute for water and it obviously hydrates you just as well as water and other drinks.

Ideally, you'd drink water or tea or coffee or pure fruit smoothie drinks as healthy options but soda water is probably not likely to have any negative effect on your health if you drink it instead of water.
