Can Sweet Potato be used when bulking?

Hi!

Basically can sweet potato be used when trying to gain muscle? (i know not to be used instead of say a normal potato if after workouts), and if so how much?

Yes sweet potato is a good healthy form of carbohydrate and can be used for bulking, just make sure you have a big enough one if you are trying to beef up!

Yes, sweet potato is a perfect bulking food to add to your core diet of quality proteins, vegetables, fruits and healthy/essential/omega-3 fats. It is full of complex carbohydrates and carbs are the most sensible choice of extra calories when trying to gain mass. If you have trouble eating enough food and your appetite is depressed, try boiling them (they boil up faster than regular potatoes) and mashing them up with a bit of milk and butter...they taste great like this, you can eat tons of them and they don't keep you feeling full for a long duration afterwards like protein or some other carbs or fats.
