Do you have any advice for girls with irregular periods?

I have a friend whos period usually lasts around 4 days but she is worried because this time round its day 7, anything to worry about?

Have her call her gyn; she might want to ask to speak to a nurse. Nurses are more accessible than the physicians they work under and would be able to make a judgement call if your friend should be concerned or not and how soon your friend requires follow up from her doctor.

Interesting question - is she an athlete or anything?

I must admit, when it comes to PV bleeding I don't really take chances and guess, I would want a complete history to know for sure if this is anything to worry about or not. I'm happy to answer these questions, but much more detail is required.
