NEW Startling Geranium Study - It Increases Blood Pressure but NOT Adrenalin!

Geranium Boosts Blood Pressure, DOESN'T Boost Adrenalin?!

This is very big news for anyone who uses a pre-workout product or fat-burner containing Geranium...

Geranium (also known as 1,3-dimethylamylamine, DMAA, methylhexanamine) is still the hottest and newest pre-workout stimulant ingredient since Patrick Arnold rediscovered it a few years back. It's also being used in quite a few fat burners too.

It's now included in the products Jack3d, Hemo Rage, Lipo-6 Black, Neurocore, OxyElite, 1MR, RoxyLean ECA, HydroxyStim and many others.

Well, a new study has just come out on it and it confirms one thing that most people probably already knew but there's also an unexpected twist that no one expected...

1) As suspected geranium increases blood pressure - when combined with 250mg caffeine, 75mg of DMAA (a fairly typical dosage) increased blood pressure by 20%! That is a very big and possibly worrying number. Certainly this means that people with high blood pressure shouldn't use it but also this is doing the exact opposite of what we want before we train...constricting blood vessels! As most of my readers know, we want to boost NO (nitric oxide), to cause a dilation (widening) of blood vessels before we train! Constricting them means less blood flow, nutrient and oxygen delivery and fewer of the other numerous benefits of NO!

2) The totally unexpected result here is that, unlike ephedrine, Geranium / DMAA DOESN'T seem to boost adrenalin or noradrenalin. Caffeine alone increased it more! So if anything, geranium is actually decreasing caffeine's effects on adrenalin!?!?

This is crucial because these are the key hormones for increased energy and fat burning. Most people in the industry, including me, just assumed that this stuff would boost these hormones (that are also known as epinephrine and norepinephrine) because of the type of molecule it is – it is similar to ephedrine!

So now we can't actually just assume that geranium helps burn fat until we see some proper evidence...which doesn't exist!

So for those who get a great kick out of geranium / DMAA products, you can keep using them because if you feel that they work for you, they probably do...even if it's just psychological. But for those who want to burn fat, it looks like Green Tea, Caffeine and Citrus Aurantium (Bitter Orange / Synephrine) are still the kings of the hill!

Ha ha ha

Mark, we predicted this was going to happen! How long before Geranium is of the shelves I wonder?

So basically, increased blood pressure (risk of strokes, heart attacks, peripheral vascular disease kidney disease, eye disease and so on) and depression!
